A wrapper around re and regex that adds additional back references.

Backrefs is a library that wraps the default Python re module or the third party regex module in order to add additional back refrences. It should work for Python Markdown versions 2.6.0 and greater. You can check out the list of available extensions and learn more about them by reading the docs.
