A portlet based on “Recent items”, which you can change the title, the portal types to search, and the root from where to search elements.

Installation
Add collective.portlet.customizablerecent to the list of eggs to install, e.g.:
[buildout] ... eggs = ... collective.portlet.customizablerecentRe-run buildout, e.g. with:
$ ./bin/buildout
Restart your Plone instance.
Install the module through Plone Modules install configuration form.
