  • Fixes language changes resulting in duplicated documents in the search index. [href]

1.4.1 (2018-04-26)

  • Uses a higher timeout during reindex operations. [href]

1.4.0 (2018-04-10)

  • Greatly improves reindex performance (2x - 10x faster). [href]

1.3.2 (2018-03-16)

  • Fixes transport catching not working right. [href]

1.3.1 (2018-03-16)

  • Catches more connection related errors. [href]

  • Fixes verify_cert=False option being ignored. [href]

1.3.0 (2018-03-09)

  • Improves the handling of elasticsearch outages.

Now, whenver elasticsearch is offline, a SearchOfflineError is raised. During subsequent method calls to the elasticsearch client reconnects are only attempted after increasingly longer timeouts (up to 5 minutes).

This ensures that an elasticsearch outage doesn’t slow down the rest of the application as it attempts to reconnect to the server. [href]

1.2.4 (2017-12-29)

  • Slightly improves reindex performance. [href]

  • Requires Python 3.6. [href]

1.2.3 (2017-12-22)

  • Uses less memory during reindexing. [href]

  • Switches to onegov core’s custom json module. [href]

1.2.2 (2017-11-14)

  • Specifically excludes the broken elasticsearch 5.5.1 release. [href]

1.2.1 (2017-10-10)

  • Adds the ability to reindex from code. [href]

1.2.0 (2017-09-26)

  • Adds automatic language detection for localisable content. [href]

1.1.1 (2017-07-06)

  • Switch onegov.testing to onegov_testing. [href]

1.1.0 (2017-06-22)

  • Removes Elasticsearch 2.x string to keyword, text translation. [href]

1.0.1 (2017-05-02)

  • Adds a helper function to retrieve the fields registered by the mappings. [href]

1.0.0 (2017-03-28)

  • Drops support for Elasticsearch 2.x and adds support for Elasticsearch 5.x. [href]

0.6.4 (2016-09-21)

  • Adds the ability to define which request gets access to private searches. [href]

  • Moves some code to onegov.core. [href]

0.6.3 (2016-05-30)

  • Adds compatibility with onegov.core 0.21.0. [href]

0.6.2 (2016-04-29)

  • Fixes reindex command not working with Morepath 0.14. [href]

0.6.1 (2016-04-06)

  • Adds compatibility with Morepath 0.13. [href]

0.6.0 (2016-03-22)

  • Uses a simpler analyzer for autocompletion.

This change leads to the autocompletion working more literally. That is if we enter ‘A1’, we will find ‘A1’ and ‘A11’ but not ‘A’. Before, all numbers were stripped from the autocompletion which is not what we want because we use autocompletion quite lierally (search for FRM-1234-5678 for example). [href]

0.5.0 (2016-02-22)

  • Migrates to latest elasticsearch-dsl release. [href]

0.4.0 (2016-02-03)

  • Adds support for query explanations. [href]

0.3.2 (2016-02-02)

  • Fixes connection pool exhaustion occuring when reindexing many tennants. [href]

0.3.1 (2016-01-26)

  • Keep elasticsearch-dsl below 0.0.9 until there’s a release that supports elasticsearch 2.0.0. [href]

0.3.0 (2016-01-11)

  • Require elasticsearch 2.1.1 or newer. [href]

0.2.0 (2016-01-11)

  • Pin elasticsearch to 2.1 for now.

With 2.2 it’s no longer possible to support elasticsearch 1.0 and 2.0 with 2.x. So we have to support either or.

Currently we support Elasticsearch 1.x. Soon we’ll upgrade to 2.x and use that exclusively.

This release is therefore the last release that supports both 1.x and 2.x of elasticsearch. [href]

  • Stops the reindex command to create unwanted indices. [href]

  • Exclude all _source fields by default. [href]
